Facebook is spinning off Events into a separate app, but don't freak out

Facebook Events is a great way for the social network to actually help you manage your social life. But sometimes we forget to keep tabs on the events we'll "maybe" attend, and sometimes we have trouble finding events we're interested in all together. 

Facebook has decided to address this issue so we never have FOMO again. The social network just launched Events from Facebook, a standalone app to help you navigate Facebook events more seamlessly.

For those who still have bad dreams about the day Facebook required them to download Messenger, don't worry. Facebook isn't requiring users of the service's Events feature to download the Events app (at least not yet).
