The disastrous iOS 8.0.1 update that curtailed users' cellular signals and created other bugs earlier this week may have a connection to another major glitch in recent history: the shaky rollout of Apple Maps.
According to a Bloomberg report, both issues stem from the same person who was supposed to catch the issues before the updates launched.
The report names Josh Williams, a mid-level manager for Apple iOS software group, as the man removed from the Maps team after the incident. He's said to still oversee iOS testing and should have caught the glitch. Read more...
