Hacking group targets BuzzFeed for sharing 'fake news'

BuzzFeed is the latest victim of a website hack.

OurMine, a group responsible for hacking the social media accounts of tech executives like Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter's Jack Dorsey and Evan Williams, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales targeted and gained access to the major media site on Wednesday morning.

It was not immediately clear to the extent of OurMine's hack of BuzzFeed’s systems, but the gruop was able to alter seeral article headlines and leads on its website, originally targeting a post written by BuzzFeed News writer Joseph Bernstein.
