Buggy rollout hasn't hindered iOS 10 adoption, report says

It's been just over a day since Apple formally released iOS 10, but the latest version of the company's mobile operating system has already seen a huge number of installs, despite some early snafus.

New numbers from analytics company Mixpanel estimate the adoption rate for iOS 10 already stands at 14.8 percent. 

iOS 9, released last year, is currently installed on more than 86 percent of iOS devices, according to the report, while only 5.3 percent are using iOS 8 or older.

Though it will be some time before we get official numbers from Apple, these numbers would seem to be good news for the company. Mixpanel predicts iOS 10 will reach 50 percent by Sept. 25, just 11 days after launching.  Read more...
