In the past few years, a ubiquitous focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and more recently, STEAM (+ Arts) has had a big impact on what kids are learning and the way they’re learning. Based on predictions for this generation’s future, STE(A)M concepts will be essential for successful participation in the workforce.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment in occupations related to STEM is projected to grow to more than 9 million between 2012 and 2022. And the Global Stem Alliance estimates that 75% of all jobs will require STEM expertise by 2018. Read more...
