Apple's recent iOS 8 announcements were huge, with things like Swift, Healthkit, HomeKit, and Extensions, but what's changed that affects web developers?

iOS can now make use of the Javascript FTL Just In Time compiler, which means huge performance gains and running webGL on Safari across the board.
